Salvado to share stage with Davido, Tuface and Wizkid in Nigeria

“I want to thank God almighty for this wonderful talent I have, how I close a show of super talented comedians and kill it, I just can’t explain! The reviews and feedback has just been great, thank you my God. I’ll always treasure this gift and use it to the best of my ability…,” read part of comedian Salvado’s post on his Facebook wall a day after his performance at the just concluded Night of 1000 Laughs show in Nairobi.

Salvado was chosen to be the closing act at a show that had names like Basket Mouth (who is rated as Africa’s biggest standup comedian), Mpho from South Africa, Eric Omondi and brother Fred Omondi of Kenya, Daliso from Malawi, and Topsy from Zambia.
Although Salvado has shared stages with the same lineup several times before, he had never been trusted to close a show, but this time he did.

And yet by the look of things, Salvado will have to keep thanking God more and more. The brother from Ombokolo will be the only East African entertainer on a show dubbed Basket Mouth Uncensored slated for June 28, in Nigeria.

Going by the title, the show sounds more like a Basket Mouth affair, but that’s not the case. The show’s lineup includes Nigerian and some of Africa’s biggest entertainers like Davido, Tuface, Wizkid, Phyno Olamide, Soundsultan, Bovi, Play and our very own Salvado.
The show is a clear indicator that Salvado has made a serious impact on the Nigerian audience.
