Sudhir graces Forbes cover

Like we told you a few weeks ago, our very own Sudhir Ruparelia was listed by Forbes magazine as one of the richest men on planet earth.
Sudhir, who stands at no. 18 among the richest men in Africa, is at number 1465, on Forbes list of “the planet’s richest people 2014” in a recent Forbes Magazine release.
Sudhir’s worth was valued at $1.1bn (about Shs2.9trillion).

But with a new project underway at the land he acquired from the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI) around Mulago, his worth is bound to shoot way higher. According to close sources, Sudhir is constructing a multi-million dollar health and education facility at the site.
But even before all that, Sudhir is the face on the cover of Forbes Africa’s April edition that came out earlier this week.
We have not had a chance to look at the magazine, but we were told that it covers a lot about his several achievements including the $2m (about Shs 5.1b) wedding that he made for his daughter, Meera Ruparelia.

Sudhir was born in Uganda but moved to the UK with his parents at 16 after President Idi Amin expelled all Asians in 1972. Forbes documents how he rose from a London cab driver to a dollar billionaire.
He is the founder of the Ruparelia Group, Uganda’s largest conglomerate, with interests in property, banking, education, insurance, health, hospitality and agriculture.
