Fashion tip:Valentine’s fashion

A smart-casual lookSay no to red and black colour blocks. Introduce other colours

I  was reminded that today is Valentine’s, and one thing that came to my mind is the black and red combos I see all over the place on this day. I am not entirely against this colour match. I, however, feel that it’s getting a little tiring for our eyes. So this year, set yourself apart, by dressing up for the day, but in a more classy way. Here is a guide on how to dress for three different places.

The day/work look
For the office look, we recommend a black or red midi skirt.  Colour block this with a colourful top like yellow. This look will work for the office, and even for your lunch date. Alternatively, you could wear red pants, a light top, with a colourful jacket. Don’t forget those killer heels to complete the look.
The  dinner
It’s a romantic dinner, so you will need something sophisticated. Majority of the girls will be wearing red, so set yourself apart by opting for a nude-coloured lace dress. And it doesn’t have to be a gown. Have red accessories like heels and a clutch to give a hint of the Valentine’s theme. Don’t forget that red lip stick.

The club/bar setting
It’s a Friday, so it’s party time!  Party like a fashion maven and head to the nightclub in a red and gold combo. Make the gold the foundation of your look. Go for a little gold dress, and have on red heels. If you are heading to a bar, keep it casual with a colourful maxi skirt, like yellow and a blending tank top. Add a red bag to complete the look.
