Iryn Namubiru excited about Gabriel Epenu’s improving health

Gabriel and IrynThanks for your prayers. NTV news anchor Gabriel Epenu, was a few days ago, declared out of danger after he was put out of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
The news about Epenu’s great improvement was broken by fellow news anchor, Josephine Karungi Musisi, in a Facebook post. “To answer the much asked question in my inbox…Gabriel is doing so much better, I’m sure one of these days he will take a selfie just to show you that soon, he will be on his feet. Your support has been overwhelming. I’m sure his family and Gaby himself are thankful for you. Keep praying.”
Epenu was involved in a car accident on November 23, 2013 when he lost control of his vehicle somewhere in Mukono and rammed into a truck.

However, there was someone who was far more excited than his co-worker. Singer Iryn Namubiru, who for months was rumoured to be dating the news anchor, could not hide her joy as she tweeted; “And the best news 2014 is he is out of Intensive Care Unit! @Gabriel Epenu My God has never failed me!”
Our sources told us that Iryn has been a frequent visitor at IHK Hospital. Most times, when she did not have shows, she spent several hours with him in hospital.
The singer is also said to have been very active in meeting some of the medical bills.

Sources that visited Epenu in hospital told us that he is now much better. “He can now respond to a touch and he nods when someone talks to him. He can now even afford to smile at visitors,” said a source that works at NTV but preferred anonymity.
Well, thanks for the care, Iryn, and we wish you a quicker recovery, Epenu.
