Rumours of Hollywood’s star-couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie coming to Uganda to watch the eclipse started weeks ago. Until last Friday, we were still trying as much as possible to establish if Pitt and Jolie had landed into the Pearl of Africa but our sources within the Civil Aviation Authority insisted they were not in position to comment.
However, we were later alerted by sources at Paraa Safari Lodge that Pitt and Jolie had arrived safely at the Murchison Falls facility.
Our source told us that the couple was set to enjoy a game drive last Saturday before they could catch the eclipse moment.
Although the source was not allowed to reveal the exact cottage the couple were sleeping, another source hinted that they were in the new luxurious isolated tent. However, access to the tent was denied.
We had also been tipped off that singer Alicia Keys, as well as actor Tom Cruise and tycoon Richard Branson were also on their way to Uganda, but we didn’t get any news about them throughout the weekend.
