It is guns, speed and gripping dialogue in action, in star-studded Red 2, sequel to 2010’s Red. Bruce Willis leads the cast as agent Frank Moses.
In the prequel he is a former black-ops agent whose peaceful life is threatened by a high-tech assassin, so he assembles his old team in a last ditch effort to survive and uncover his assailants.

In Red 2, he reunites his unlikely team of elite operatives this time for a global quest to track down a missing, next-generation lethal device that can change the balance of world power.
To succeed, they’ll need to survive an army of relentless assassins, ruthless terrorists and power-crazed government officials, all eager to get their hands on the technologically advanced super weapon.
The mission takes Frank and his motley crew to Paris, London and Moscow. Outgunned and outmanned, they have only their cunning wits, their old-school skills, and each other to rely on as they try to save the world-and stay alive in the process.

The Guardian notes, “Bruce Willis once again leads the line, surrounded by a game, if not always entirely convincing, crew of (mostly) major-league thespians: John Malkovich, Helen Mirren, Anthony Hopkins, Brian Cox.”
But Daily Mail argues otherwise. It states, “Like most sequels this summer, it is factory product manufactured for the masses with little or no thought of quality, coherence or meaning. Its existence owes everything to studio accountancy, nothing at all to artistic enterprise.”
There is no way of figuring out who is telling the truth, unless you go watch it.
