Goodlyfe boys flaunt US visas to silence critics

Weasel's visa

Weasel’s visa

A local news site last week spread a rumour that Good Lyfe singers Mowzey & Weasel had been denied visas to the US to attend the BET Awards that are scheduled for this Sunday. The Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards will be hosted by comedian and actor Chris Tucker at the Nokia Theatre, in Los Angeles, California, where the awards will be staged for the first time ever!

The rumour spread so fast and a daily tabloid adopted the story. This forced Mowzey & Weasel, together with their manager Jeff Kiwanuka to show off their visas in a bid to “ashame haters,” as put by Mowzey.

The Good Lyfe singers and their manager photographed the pages in their passports with the US visas and spread the photos on Facebook since last Friday.
The singers also intended to show whoever was spreading the rumours that they had actually been awarded two-year long multiple entry visas into the US.
The singing duo are nominated in the Best International Act (Africa) alongside 2Face Idibia (Nigeria), Toya Delazy (South Africa), Donald (South Africa), Ice Prince (Nigeria) and R2Bees (Ghana).

The awards recognise mostly Americans in music, movies, sports and other fields of entertainment over the past year.
Rn’B star and actor Chris Brown and R Kelly were announced as the first confirmed performers. Charlie Wilson was announced as this year’s Cadillac Lifetime Achievement Award honoree.
Go Weasel, Go Radio, Go Good Lyfe, represent Uganda!
