Mathew Nabwiso is the only Ugandan nominated in the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards that take place in Lagos Nigeria. Nabwiso was nominated in the Best Supporting actor category for his role in the movie A Good Catholic Girl. Though he is nominated with experienced actors like Osita Iheme of the Aki and Pawpaw fame,
Nabwiso who flew out to Lagos to attend the event last evening is optimistic about bringing the accolade home, after his aggressive campaign to solicit votes on the social networks.
“Friends and fans, thank you for taking the trouble to vote for me for the AMVCA awards. Now that the voting process is over let’s believe God that we will bring the accolade home. Nice to day all of you,” Nabwiso posted on his Facebook wall before leaving the country.
The event will be broadcast live on Dstv’s Africa Magic channel starting at 7pm tomorrow evening.
