Gashumba wants police apology over calling him a conman

In October 2011, Frank Gashumba, a self-acclaimed philanthropist and businessman was arrested and detained at CPS over allegations of fraud. It was alleged that Gashumba had allegedly forged documents from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and conned unidentified Turkish businessmen of several million shillings.
More than a year later, the Anti-Corruption Court last week threw out the case against Gashumba. And now, in a case of the hunter turning the hunted, Gashumba has sworn to sue the government for defamation.

Gashumba also wants the same Uganda Police Force that paraded him before journalists when he was accused, to arrange a press briefing where they will “clear my name in the media and also publicly apologise for parading me as a conman!”
