Bebe Cool escapes arrest, off to Australia

Bebe cool

On Tuesday afternoon, singer Bebe Cool safely landed in Perth, Australia. The singer is in Australia beginning a tour that will also see him perform in the US and several European countries.
However, shortly before his departure, the Kampala Metropolitan Police Chief AIGP Andrew Kaweesi had issued an order for the singer to be arrested for his involvement in violence at a kafunda in Nakulabye over the weekend.

Afande Kaweesi issued the order after he learnt that Bebe had led to the arrest and detention of two men at Wandegeya Police Station whom the singer accused of attacking him and vandalising his car. The two men however, also told the police that Bebe attacked them, tried to knock them with his car and also beat them up because they were dancing to Bobi Wine’s music.
However, by the time, Afande Kawesi’s directive reached Entebbe International Airport, the singer had already flown out.

But before he flew out, Bebe had insisted that the two men should pay Shs20m towards repairing his car (a Hummer) and should also pay Shs200,000 per day to hire a car to transport the singer and his family until he gets back his car! Bebe left before he could agree with the accused persons!
However, according to sources within Police, Afande Kawesi’s directive will stand until Bebe returns!
