The music video : Kisumuluzo- Diana Nalubega

Diana

Diana

Diana Nalubega’s Kisumuluzo is proving a big hit, but I don’t know what came first, the popularity of the song or the video. If the video came first, then it was shot on a low budget if it came after the song had become popular, then it was rushed.

JahLive the video maker disappoints when he gets what appear to be boxes, wraps them with red and blue fabric, makes a stage and an artificial wall of sorts  in the forest then gets Diana Nalubega to wear the same colour on the same background.  It is a turn off for a great audio song.

The video fails to master the basics, the montages are average and clearly lacking in timing. The video is not rich on colour that a love song should have and there is no story-line whatsoever.  All of a sudden, a man holds up keys in his hands (perhaps to illustrate the Kisumuluzo), and before that sinks in, the next image is of a couple in a house.

Occasionally, one is faced with quickly dissolving visuals of a man who seems to be picking a leaf then walking by in the video.  His role is clearly misplaced and non-aligned to the song.
The only plus in the video is that we get to see Diana’s beautiful gap between her teeth.
Beautiful song, average video.
