Mampi
Last Friday we told you that Zambian singer Mampi Mukape of the Swilili hit fame was headed for a show in Kampala in December. But we can now confirm that Mampi didn’t wait for December to hit Kampala.
She was one of the hundreds of fans that came to cheer the Zambian Chipolopolo as they beat our Cranes side in the highly competitive CAF tie at Nambole stadium last Saturday evening.
We were tipped off about Mampi’s arrival by our sources at the airport. From the airport, Mampi who was in company of her sister Vicky was booked into Serena Hotel in Kampala for two nights.
However, Mampi managed to dodge our camears throughout her stay in Uganda. Even at Nambole, Mampi moved with Zambian dignitaries. We had received word that she, was due to shoot a video with former Ugandan Big Brother House colleague Kyle; however that also did not happen since Mampi flew out of the country the same night after the Uganda Vs Zambia game. But she will still be back to perform in December.
