Swilili singer Mampi coming to Kampala

Mampi Mukape

Mampi Mukape

The name Mampi Mukape is not really popular to so many music lovers in Kampala, but at the mention of Swilili hit, many people will give a standing ovation. Ladies and gentlemen, we bring you good news; Zambian R&B singer, fondly known as Mampi is set to perform in Kampala this December.

For a better intro, Mampi was one of the celebrity housemates in the Big Brother Africa (BBA) reality TV show this year.
We can reliably reveal that the 26-year-old diva from Lusaka will jet into Kampala for a show slated for December 31. We are yet to establish who exactly is behind the deal of the Swilili singer in Kampala.

Mampi who shot to fame way back in 2005 in Zambia has a list of songs that include Nina Muona, Sunshya, Your Love and Wakumbali that is also quite famous in Kampala.
However, Mampi’s Swilili hit is one of the biggest hits in town. This can be attributed to the fact that the song has a few lyrics that sound like a few Luganda words. During an exclusive conversation with Mampi’s manager only identified as Vicky, she told us that Mampi is a professional dancer and Kampala should brace itself for a big show. We will keep you posted!
