Tigan
Henry Tigan’s more recent songs have struggled. They have nothing on the initial Tigan sound that combined mellow rhyme and unique Ragga and swung us off our feet. Recently, there have been times when Tigan has sounded like his gods have deserted him, where you wondered whether the guy recorded his songs at the end of a long tiring boring work day, like a Monday.
But maybe, just maybe, the fellow could be starting to get his groove back. Okay, not his entire groove back, but his ability to create a mellow chorus, something that you can listen to once, and thereafter, struggle to get out of your head. He has a very catchy tune for Sanyuka Ko’s chorus. He sings about the need for every working individual to set aside some of their valuable time to rest and make themselves happy, because life is short.
The song has a mild tempo that could even come off as sluggish. It’s the kind of song that you will easily bob your head along to, and you will not miss that animated part after the chorus where he does an oooh-oooh adlib, probably the most exciting part. This is a much better song from Tigan. More of this and we will forget he ever faulted.
