In what is turning out to be a comic month, here is another comedy, Cop Out, for your watching pleasure. It reminds me of Police Academy. In Cop Out, a rare baseball card belonging to Jimmy (Bruce Wills) is stolen. The card is worth lots of money and selling it is his only chance of being able to pay for his daughter’s wedding. He must find it at all costs and seeks the help of his partner Paul (Tracy Morgan) to help him catch the thief. Together, they start a search that leads them to a gang of hard-hearted drug dealers. But given the way the two cops operate, it is hard to take their mission serious and you will instead laugh out loud. The gang proves to be smarter than they thought, which means more work for them and laughter for you. To take you back to your childhood days, Paul is like Zack the black Power Ranger that dances before fighting someone. In Cop Out, twists and suspense don’t matter, what does is how silly the methods of operation are. Get a copy of this right away.
