KCCA Executive Director Jennifer Musisi recently issued an order banning any musical concerts at Kati Kati Grounds, Kyadondo Rugby Grounds and Hotel Africana among others.
Although, in Musisi’s view, the directive is meant for the good of the residents in the neighborhoods of the above venues, musicians received the order with great dislike!
And if there is any artiste that was extremely set back by the directive, then that must be Cindy! The singer who was set to hold her album launch concert at Kati Kati grounds tonight has since postponed the show to a later date.
According to Cindy’s management, they had paid up the venue and a few other things; “but we couldn’t risk breaking the law for such a mega step in Cindy’s life!”
Meanwhile, Cindy is not alone; singer Aziz Azion also postponed his corporate show that was slated for Serena Hotel sometime this month. Unlike Cindy, Aziz postponed his show after he survived a serious accident along Masaka-Mbarara highway. Aziz told us that he is planning to set a new date for the concert after Ramathan!
