The DVD: Force

Force, the movie poster

Force is a Bollywood flick. It is a remake of the film, Kaakha Kaakha whose sad end makes it come off like the director borrowed from Danielle Steel’s line of thought. It is a tale about a cop ACP Yashvardhan (John Abraham) who is heading a team capturing dreaded gangsters. Yash is a dutiful, responsible and stone-hearted police officer passionate about stopping criminals. He is lonely too, a fact that changes when he meets the lovely Maya (Genelia D’Souza). The plot is pretty predictable from the moment she appears on set. And of course like most Bollywood flicks there’s a singing scene (can’t they just do without those once in a while?). Any way I enjoyed this one because Yash has a great body, can’t begin to imagine how much work he put into earning it. It was worth it at the end because it gave me reason to watch it to the end. I looked forward to the moments he removed his shirt – his abs are tight. Guys, you can find the DVD to watch Maya. Apart from a predictable plot, the setting, lighting and acting is good.
