The latest news from the Big Brother Africa producers has left us nothing less than enthralled. Firstly, it has been announced that this year’s cash prize has jumped from $200,000 to a whopping $300,000.
But you don’t eat it alone thanks to yet another new twist to the game. Well, the biggest surprise on this year’s show is the fact that this season, entrants must “Double-Up” to compete, meaning that anyone who wants to enter season seven must partner with another person to enter as a pair.
“You can enter with your best friend, boyfriend, girlfriend, mom, dad, brother, sister, boss, husband, wife, neighbour, hairdresser, name them but you must enter as a pair, stay as a pair and get evicted as a pair or win as a pair,” said Multichoice Uganda publicist Tina Wamala.
Meanwhile, Liberia and Sierra Leone have also come into the fray as Ethiopia and Mozambique go out. Both partners must come from the same country, must be 21 years or older, must be fluent in English and must have a valid passport.
Interested persons can collect an entry form from MultiChoice offices starting February 5. Alternatively you can also enter by logging on to www.mnetafrica.com/bigbrother and completing an entry form online. The series starts Sunday May 6.
