Tobago ambassador asked Radio & Weasel to record with Katatumba

radio
Singer Angella Katatumba has just released Multiply By 2, her collabo with Radio & Weasel. Now that the troubles of her Katatumba family fighting for their property with Shumuk group are behind them, Angella is back to her first love – music. And unlike other musicians who seek out bigger musicians and pay to have collabos with them, the Katatumba and Goodlyfe collabo was diplomatically arranged.
As you are well aware, Angella’s dad, Boney Katatumba is the honorary consul of Pakistan to Uganda, so he is well respected in the diplomatic circles. That is how his daughter Angella made acquaintances with Trinidad and Tobago ambassador Patrick Edwards.
It turned out that Edwards was a fan of Katatumba’s music and also that of Radio and Weasel. “The ambassador invited Angella and Radio and Weasel for a dinner at the Kampala Serena Hotel and amongst other things, requested them to do an international song and video together,” a source told us.
“Angella and the Goodlyfe boys thought it was a great idea and immediately hit the studio and created Multiply By 2, whose audio was produced by Washington and the video produced by Centrix Films,” our source added.
The video was released a week ago at Club Venom and it is getting rotated on all TV stations. Is this the musical return of Angella? Our eyes are glued to our screens.
