Suudi making it big in Kenya

suudi

Ugandan promoter, Suudi Lukwago, alias Suudiman is not smiling ear to ear for nothing. News reaching us is that he will be relocating to Kenya if what we see on social media is anything to go by. News is that Suudi was one of the people behind Roman Virgo’s mega performance in Nairobi two weeks ago, a show that sold out. We also heard that he is behind Chris Brown and Wiz Kid’s concert in Mombasa tomorrow.

So why did Suudi abandon Uganda? “Ever since last year, we (promoters) have been operating in losses because the dollar rate in Uganda is so high. Imagine we lost millions of dollars in the process so it’s much easier for me to have artistes in other countries,” He said.
Lukwago added that he wishes the government could engage with promoters in bringing international artistes. “The Kenyan and Rwanda government have been investing in the entertainment industry for a longtime and that is why they can afford big artistes such as Chris Brown. That is one way of promoting tourism”.
