The Triplets, or the Sitya Loss Kids as they are popularly known, finally performed outside Uganda. The talented dancers were part of the entertainers at the Maro and David Lutalo Mubi Bubi Concert in London last Saturday.
While Alex Ssempijja, Fred Tumusiime, Isaac Tumusiime and Patricia Nabakooza were excited to be in London, they had not anticipated the love they were to receive. “On landing at the airport, several Ugandans, mostly women and children, were waiting for us with flowers. They were happy to see us,” said Patricia during a telephone conversation.
Several parents continued to visit them in Stratford where they were staying and most had their children take photos with the kids that rose to fame after dancing in Eddy Kenzo’s Sitya Loss video. “They are having the joy of  their lifetime. We have received so many monetary offers, donations in form of clothing, lunch, dinners and free tours,” said Dauda Kavuma, their manager. He told us that several people have been taking the kids for shopping in expensive stores like Marks & Spencer and Blue Inc.
“We never expected this. We are getting superstar treatment. This is too much love,” said 11-year-old Isaac. Marion Muwando, a UK-based Ugandan, also the owner of M& M Kiddies shop in Kampala, gave each of them £100 (about Shs450,000) on top of taking them shopping at Marks & Spencer. Nusurah Kaseruuzi, another UK-based Ugandan. took them for a ride and on a shopping spree for attires for their next four music videos.  Meanwhile the kids also got the chance to meet and challenge the Nigerian-UK based Unique Silver dancers. The Sitya Loss dancers have another show tomorrow at Cue Bar in Leytonstone, London.
