Singer Maro in charity drive

maro-2

Singer Maro aka Ronald Magada is not so up there, but at the same time he is not that badly off. We can say he is there-there because somehow he has managed to remain relevant on the music scene. Like the singer told this newspaper two months ago that he would not be having a concert this year because he had so many projects he was working on and most of them included charity, he wasn’t foxing.

After working with Bobi Wine on a charity organisation called Uganda Women’s Cancer Support Organisation and Viva Con Agua, an organisation aimed at improving drinking water supply in developing countries, the singer has signed another deal to work with Pan International, a charity organisation which uses music to reach out on child pregnancy and marriages.

The project known as Ni Yetu Youth Program started last week in Kamuli District where a singing competition headed by Maro was organised. According to Maro, upcoming singers in different regions will be tasked to write inspirational songs about early pregnancy and marriages. Way to go Maro!
