Roger Mugisha christens Sudhir ‘Forbes wonder of Uganda’

On Wednesday October 8, the Independence eve, Johnnie Walker Blue Label threw a party to honour businessman Sudhir Ruparelia. It was strictly an all-invite party where the tycoon hosted his A-list friends and business associates to a fun-filled evening. Strictly Johnnie Walker brands were served and Johnnie Walker global brand Ambassador Tom Jones was at hand to mentor the guests on how to appreciate the global luxurious whisky brands.
And since the party was about honouring Sudhir’s outstanding personal achievements, top of which is his recent appearance in the Forbes magazine list of top billionaires, the event emcee Roger Mugisha, started off the event by sending a message to the Parliament of Uganda.
“As we celebrate Uganda’s Independence tomorrow, it’s my humble request to our legislators, just like we have the seven hills wonder of Kampala, that they should move a motion to recognise Dr Sudhir as the Forbes wonder of Uganda,” Roger quipped amid wild cheers.
According to recent Forbes ratings, Sudhir’s fortune stands at $1.1 billion and he is East Africa’s richest person. Sudhir stands at 24th in Africa and 1,465th in the world. Let’s see how many support Roger’s motion.
