Quick cv: Olive Eyotaru

eyo

Olive Eyotaru, reporter Uganda Radio Network (URN)

FIRST CAR

A Legsus 1990 model. Hahahahaa; well, I haven’t owned a car yet. I am still in the footsibishi class.

CURRENT CAR
I use boda bodas and taxis. Boda bodas are convenient given the annoying traffic jam in the city. But I am aiming at acquiring a simple car- preferably the Toyota Ist in a few months.

DREAM CAR
I would love to own a Range Rover Sport. Yes, my dream is valid because the first time I sat in one, the comfort was just unexplainable. I must own one, God willingly.

FIRST JOB
I was a features writer at Ultimate Media Consult, a news agency in my second year at Uganda Christian University, Mukono.

CURRENT JOB
I currently work at Uganda Radio Network, a news agency as a political, health and human rights reporter. I mainly cover stories in my beat. I also have interests in the sports field.

GOT WHERE I AM BY
I believe passion for journalism and hard work drove me to greater heights.

FAV GADGET
I own an iPhone 4S- Old model yeah, but I can’t keep my hands off it.

FAV MOVIE/series
I have a few favourite movies but Sound of Music and Maid in Manhattan tag at my heartstrings any day.

FAV MEAL
Give me chapati and beef any day.

WORST HABIT
Let me wear a bullet proof; I bite my nails when angry or sad. But I am outgrowing the vice.

INSPIRED BY
I am inspired by people who go against all odds to succeed in life, regardless of the hurdles and naysayers.

BEST QUOTE
I read somewhere that: “Though you can love what you do not master, you cannot master what you do not love.” It all goes down to passion for me.
