NTVsports’ Ismail Kigongo is a daddy

NTV sports analyst Ismail Dhakaba Kigongo aka Isma was seen pacing up and down in the corridors of Nsambya hospital last week. The Omumuli Gwemizanyo sports TV show analyst rushed his girlfriend- Phiona to hospital after she started complaining of labour pains.
Yes, Isma had managed to keep his girlfriend’s status out of the public eye and away from us for this entire time. However, when the situation tightened, Isma called his fellow sports journalist on the Monitor Sports desk for advice and help.
An editor and close friend to Isma rushed to their house in Namugongo and drove the couple to hospital.
Phiona was sent to the labour ward and 24 hours later, she came out with a bouncing baby boy.
Isma told us that this was one of the longest moments in his life.
“I watched her in pain and it was just unbearable, but I am a father now, thanks for your prayers,” Isma told us.
Isma told us both baby and mother continue to be in perfect health. Congs Isma and Phiona.
