Nigerian actors in the house

A big crew of Nigerian filmmakers is embarking on a project in Uganda come next month. Our sources indicate that Nollywood stars Clem Ohamez, Tony Umez, Walter Anga, Ofia Afuruagu, Tonto Dike and Uche Obodo will be here on August 17.

They will be here for a whole month shooting and editing their films which will feature a host of Ugandan actors and actresses. Both movies will be premiered at the end of the project just before the Nigerians return to their homeland.

That means they will come here with their entire crew of producers, editors and other errand runners.

Renowned producer/ director Kingsley Ukaegbu is among those coming along, according to their Ugandan friend and project coordinator Faridah Ndausi. “This collaboration is completely intended to familiarise the Nigerian markets with Ugandan movies,” said Ndausi. “We want to exchange ideas with some of the market leaders and improve the African movie industry together as Africans.”
