The organisers of Miss University Uganda last week unveiled socialite and model, Judith Heard as this year’s patron. During a press conference at Club Ambiance, Judith Heard tipped that she will be in charge of nurturing the contestants, to not only be professional models but to also impact change in their universities and communities, during the boot-camp. As patron, she will also be one of the judges who will crown the finest university girl in Uganda.
With over 17 contestants, Ronnie Nsubuga, the Chief Executive Officer of Crystal Models, the organisers of the event, says a search for the universities’ beauty queen has been ongoing in every campus and an unveiling party will be held on October 17. “Before the coronation night on October 25, we shall have boot-camps where our patron gets to train the contestants, talent shows and all these events will contribute a certain percentage of marks to the final outcome,” he added.
This year’s theme is “Talent for Beauty”.
