Hymns concert to thrill Kampala this Easter weekend


Renowned musician Julian Nakie alongside Phaneroo ministries will thrill Kampala this Easter in a concert dubbed the ‘Hymns Experience’ which is an annual gospel music performance and fellowship that brings together and for, multi religious dominions.

This year’s concert themed ‘An encounter with God through hymns’ is set to convene Christians to worship, explore/ share talents, network and above all celebrate Christ through hymns.

“People love hymns and have been missing them. Hymns carry the Gospel of Christ,” says Nakie Julian.

Nakie adds that this event is aimed at people having an encounter with God through hymns that have been sang in the old days and are still being sang.

Julian is famed for songs like ‘Omulungi’, ‘Kamuwaane’, ‘Tukutendereza’ and ‘Omukwano gwa Yesu’ among others.

The over 5000 expected participants of T.H.E ( The Hymns Experience) will comprise of religious leaders, political leaders, gospel artists, Nakie Julian, the Golden Gates Choir, Calvary Cross Choir, Anglican Youth Flames, Apostle Grace Lubega as the guest artist and the Christian society from Uganda and beyond.

The event that has been supported by Phaneroo is scheduled to take place on Holy Saturday 26th March, 2016 at the Kampala Serena Hotel from 6:00-10:00pm.
