Fashion tip: tartan, Stylishly checkered

Checkered BagI t’s going to take a while before I get over my love for prints. After obsessing about the Aztec print for quite some time now, I have gotten a new crush. That is the tartan print.
Now this print is not a fashion banger just because it is being worn by many trendsetters like Kate Middleton and Cara Delevigne, but because it is very versatile.
The good thing about this print is that it can be worn with the street fashion, and then moved to sophistication, all depending on how you wear it.

I love a print that doesn’t limit its wearer and that is why you are definitely bound to fall in love with this one. You can wear tartan on your skirt, pants, coats and all other clothing items. The colour choices are also vast, so you have whole lot of them to choose from. But the common ones are green, grey and red.
You could wear a black pair of pants and white shirt then complete this with a green tartan coat. The coat creates the style element in your look.
If you are the dare devil kind of person, then try mixing your tartan with other fabrics and prints. Go for a floral and tartan look, or leather and tartan.
For the beginner, try tartan accessories like the fedoras, bags and shoes. And as time goes on, when you have mastered the art, then you can go the whole hog.
