Entebbe nightclub owner behind Patoranking, Diamond show

Nigerian star Patoranking and Tanzanian singer Diamond Platinumz have been lined up for a performance in Kampala at Lugogo Cricket Oval on December 18. Besides being loved by many for dating Ugandan socialite Zarie, Diamond has proved his might, managing to win several continental and global awards in the past year. Patoranking on the other hand, is one of the forces to reckon with on the Nigerian music scene, and also the winner of the award for best new act in this year’s MAMAs.
But even before his trip to Uganda, Patoranking already enjoys some rapport with Jose Chameleone, with whom they did a song titled Only You and Eddy Kenzo with whom they recently recorded a duet titled Royal. Patoranking is also said to have met comedian Patrick Idringi during one of his latest performances in Nigeria, and it is said it was during this meet that Salvado connected Patoranking to the promoters.
And speaking of promoters, while many thought Talent Africa’s Aly Allibhai was behind the duo’s upcoming concert, reliable info suggests otherwise. According to sources, a one Malik, owner of Entebbe-based Oz nightclub is the man behind the show.
Although not one of the popular socialites on our lists, Malik Omamteker, who is said to be youthful, has managed to prove his worth in the entertainment business by turning around the former ‘Trap’ hangout into a sophisticated nightclub and major night destination in Entebbe.
Malik is said to have paid about $40,000 (about Shs140m) to both singers.
