Douglas Lwanga taking Purple Party to upcountry towns



As it enters its fifth edition, Douglas Lwanga earlier this week announced that his annual Purple Party will be heading out of Kampala for different upcountry towns across the country.
“This year we are taking this event to the regions. This will see us in Jinja, Mbarara, Mbale, Gulu, and Masaka,” Lwanga said, adding that the countrywide expansion dubbed the ‘Purple Party tour 2016’, is slated to mark celebrations of the theme party’s five years.
And trust the youthful The Beat presenter not to waste time; Lwanga already announced Holy Saturday- March 26, as the day for the first edition of the Purple Party tour.
“We are starting with Jinja at Club Velvet,” he said.
According to Lwanga, the Jinja edition will be headlined by DJ Shiru and Ziza Bafana and will be co-hosted by his ally and colleague at NTV Uganda – The Xpozed show host, MC Kats. Entrance to the Jinja do will be Shs20,000.
From Jinja, the party will head to Mbarara at The Heat bar on Friday May 6 with a totally different artiste lineup.
The TV host said the grand all-VIP Purple Party will happen in Entebbe in December with more than 150 entertainers, including those from other regions.
