Cranes miss out on Rich Gang’s Shs20m reward on Morocco loss

Uganda CranesYou must be wondering who the Rich Gang are. Rich Gang is a name the South African based Uganda self-proclaimed tycoons, Ivan Semwanga, King Lawrence and Cheune took on when they were here for the Christmas holidays. The term Rich Gang originates from its album of the same title released mid last year by the us rap collective  Young Money Cash Money Brothers (YMCMB) that has the likes of Drake, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Birdman, Tyga, Bow Wow, Busta Ryhmes and others.

And over the weekend, the self-styled Ugandan Rich Gang that is based in Pretoria decided to fly to Cape Town to pay a visit to the Uganda Cranes camp before their match against Morocco that was played on Monday. The Uganda Cranes were in South Africa for the Chan tournament.

Ivan, Lawrence and Cheune handed over a cheque worth Shs10m to the Uganda Cranes team before the game and even promised to double the money if our boys beat Morocco. Unfortunately, the Cranes lost the match to Morocco after conceding three goals to one, missing out on Shs20m. Hard luck boys.
