Basket Mouth returning to host Africa Laughs 2

Basket MouthBasket Mouth is ranked as Africa’s biggest comedian. Little wonder, his debut show in Kampala last year is considered the biggest comedy show ever. Born Bright Okpocha, Basket Mouth was the headliner at last year’s debut Africa Laughs show held at Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala.

The show, organised by the Krackers comedy outfit, included comedians like Ann Kansiime, Alex Muhangi, Daliso from Malawi, Carl Ncube from Zimbabwe, Eric Omondi from Kenya, Salvado and was headlined by Basket Mouth.
A year later, the Krackers comedians are maintaining their word; to host Africa Laughs annually and ensure it’s the biggest continental show out of Uganda.

Earlier this week, Krackers’ manager Sams Kaggwa, announced that Africa Laughs Season 2 will be held in September. “We are using the same venue; Imperial Royale Hotel, but we are making it bigger and better,” Kaggwa said.
“Basket Mouth will not just perform, but he will host the entire show, which means he will have more time to crack your ribs. The lineup is also bigger; we have the Krackers comedians, Eddie Kardi from Ghana, Mpho from South Africa, Daliso from Malawi, Eric Omondi, Ann Kansiime and Ronnie McVex.”

Sams told us that they are in talks with Basket Mouth to find another big name from Nigeria to also perform at the show. “We are still weighing between Bovi and Gordons.”
