140 entertainers for the Purple Party

Douglas Lwanga is by far one of the best entertainment TV presenters in the land. And that has not come that easy; the fromer Katogo show presenter cum NTV The Beat presenter has a track record of building his fan base step by step.
And yet this cannot be manifested on TV, but rather through his Purple initiative. Douglas launched the party theme a few years ago at the then little known Bulldog Pub in Wandegeya.

However, after joining NTV, Douglas realised he needed more space, hence opting for Venom Beach Bar last year.
And a year down the road, Douglas is looking for more space – and he is taking the Purple Party to Lido Beach in Entebbe.
But how could this party grow so fast? Well, we got the answer from the horse’s mouth: “The purple party is one event that is graced by the biggest number of entertainers every year.” Douglas told us.
“Last year we had 100 entertainers and this year we are having over 140 entertainers that will include comedians, leading and crisp upcoming musicians, and Mcs.”
So far, the list has names ranging from Bebe Cool, Radio & Weasel, Bobi Wine, Chameleone, Eddy Kenzo, A Pass, Juliana, Irene Ntale, David Lutalo, Gravity Omutujju, to comedians like Salvado, Alex Muhangi, MC Kapale, Mariach as well as MCs like MC Kats, Daggy Nyce, Isaac, to mention but a few.
The purple party is slated for December 20 and entrance is 10k and 20k for ordinary and VIP respectively.
