David Lutalo was the biggest winner of the night after scooping the artiste of the year as well as the male artiste category and on receiving the biggest award of the night; the ‘Manya’ artiste had this to say. “I would like to thank my fellow musicians because without them, this category wouldn’t have been formed. I would also like to thank God the almighty for the talent he gave me, my fans for the endless support and the organizers of HiPipo music awards.”

Sheeba who emerged victorious in the video of the year (Siri Zari) and female artiste of the year said that her journey has been all about persistence. “Few people believed in me at first and I kept doing what I thought was right and I would like to thank a few people who believed in me. Jeff Kiwa, you are the best and all Sheebaholics.”

On the other hand, Chris Evans, whose ‘Linda’ song alongside Rema won the best RnB track said. “We did this track two weeks after Rema had given birth. She was still weak but she persisted and if there is an artiste out there who hasn’t worked with Paddy Man, you are missing out a lot.”
