K.A.I Electronics.

Why that name?
It’s the short form for my name. And at K.A.I, we ensure good quality appliances.

When did you start?
I opened it on July 15 this year.

What exactly do you deal in?
We sell electrical appliances like water heaters, cables, switches, sockets, lamp holders, electric wires, flat irons, extensions and woofers among others. I also do general electrical repairs and fixings.

How much do you earn on a good and bad day?
On bad day, I get between Shs5,000 and Shs10,000 and on a good day, I get Shs30,000 to Shs50,000.

Did you study this kind of profession?
Yes, I did at Kireka Business Institute.

Where is your business located?
It’s located on Kamuli Road, off Namugongo Road.

How much did you invest in this business?
I invested Shs1.5m but it’s now worth between Shs3m and Shs5m.

What are some of the challenges you face in this business?
The only challenge I have so far faced is customers refusing to pay after I deliver my services.
