What’s the name of your business?
High Speed Internet café. We are located in Kabalagala, near Stanbic Bank.

When did you start this business?
I started it last year in October.

How much did you invest?
It cost me about Shs8m excluding rent.

How much is this your business now worth?
About Shs15m.

Is your business just about surfing the Internet? These days almost everyone can access Facebook or mail on their phones.
We also offer other services like Play Station video games, computer lessons, laminating, photocopying, binding, plus video and audio burning and selling movies.

What are your rates?
We charge Shs3000 per hour for any type of game, Shs1,500 per hour for surfing the Internet and we sell movies at Shs2500.
What challenges you are facing doing this kind of business?
Internet is sometimes is slow and this is because of the service providers. Also, clients sometimes steal things like webcams, movies and other small items.
The other challenge is that power is on and off, which costs the business and in the long run destroys computers.

What are the things you’ve got out of this business?
I have made many connections through this business. I have also improved my computer skills overtime.

How much do you get on a good and bad day?
On a good day I get about Shs200,000 and Shs80,000 on a bad one.
