DJ Roja and Slick-Stuart begin cooking plans for third Mixtape party

Deejays Roja and Slick-Staurt have proven to the music Industry that they will not stop at just getting on the turntables. The only DJ duo in Uganda, unlike other DJs has gone an extra mile to create and organise an event headlined by DJs. And this time round the date for the third edition of the MixTape Party has been set for September 17 at the usual Laftaz Swimming Pool. According to Slick-Stuart, fans showed up in big numbers the last time and he was overwhelmed. “I didn’t expect the numbers we got last year but I was so happy and this time round, fans should expect the best out of us”.
Stuart also revealed that among the sponsors on board will be KFM, a Radio station under Nation Media Group, Smirnoff and Silk events.
Roja and Slick-Staurt started the MixTape Party in 2014 at Club Venom as a one off but because of the love they received from fans, they decided to make it an annual event. Last year was the second edition and this year’s edition has been themed ‘Fire in the city’.
