Ugandans in SA hold awards ceremony


As the year comes to a close, it is awards season and Ugandans based in South Africa don’t want to be left out. The guys living in Madibaland are known for their flambouyance when they hit town during the festive season, so their awards ceremony didn’t fall short of anything but glamour.

Organised by South African based designer Stella Nankya (pictured), the Star QT Awards took place last weekend at Wits Theatre in Johannsberg. The awards recognised people from all spheres from professionals to sports men and even those with most money! Shafik Katumba was named Mr Uganda South Africa while Faridah Nanyanzi was named Miss Uganda South Africa.
