Jazz sensation and Saxophonist Isaiah Katumwa, guitar maestro Myko Ouma and RnB group Swahili Nation have been selected to perform at the Kool & The Gang concert.
Isaiah Katumwa is no stranger to performing alongside big name artistes and he will be looking to lighten up the disco with his saxophone blares, while Myko Ouma will bring his guitar skills.
“It will be a great moment for me. I grew up listening to Kool & The Gang and curtain-raising for them is something that was beyond my imagination,” Ouma said.
Swahili Nation, are known for songs such as Malaika, Nyama, and Hakuna Matata, which have earned the Sweden-based group a Channel O Music Awards nomination.
Besides the enticing list of curtain-raisers, the event, slated for November 12 at Kololo Airstrip Grounds will be a 70s-themed dresscode and if all goes as planned, it will be the biggest disco-themed production in Uganda’s history.
