Club D.J Awards is back

Nile breweries have launched another season of Club D.J Awards across the country.

The Awards which are meant to recognize and appreciate D.J talent in Uganda will kick off on 4th May from the Western region.

According to John Katete the Brand Manager for Club beer, Disc Spinners from western Uganda will be battling for the regional trophy from Ice lounge in Mbarara today and after that, the search will head to Eastern Uganda on 12th May at Club EI Tanjia in Mbale.

Katete also revealed that the finals will be at Lido beach Entebbe on 21st May where top spin masters from different regions will battle it out with big D.Js from Kampala  and they come out with one winner who will take home Uganda’s Top DJ trophy  with a cash prize of UGX 2 million cash instantly.

Katete said that Club is determined to support any talent that has contributed to the betterment of the music industry in Uganda.

“Our specialty as a brand is music, we believe in the Ugandan DJ industry as a whole. Our span of interest goes from musicians to Deejays. To us, as long as people are skilled in music in any way, our role is to give them whatever support we can to take them to the next level,” he said.

Uganda DJ Awards championship was founded by Anthony Yawe aka DJ Tony in 2008.
