Our poor ears have suffered enough of those loud ads

Thank heavens the Easter holiday is gone and done with. I mean it’s not like I have a problem with celebrating Christ’s resurrection but eeish, those endless ads about the concerts can get one’s head spinning.

For starters I do not understand why they have to be as loud as lightening. Then that business of announcing too many similar artists on every concert around that exact time not only makes it confusing but also makes our artists seem like supernatural peeps.
Now the winner is when they attach an artist to his/her particular exact song as if they have an identity issue. I hear, “Captain dollar-emese, Kenzo- Stamina” blah blah blah!

I mean if they only mentioned the names, would they die? This country needs to understand that the only way to get to people is not through making too much noise but just getting skillful about how we do whatever we do.

For example, I see no problem in giving a soft, classy touch to something. Sometimes, yes, one might want to target a particular audience but again, it wouldn’t hurt if they played it safe and warmed up to so many different people.

I do not think there would be a particular problem with any of that. As opposed to just scaring the rest of us that they might think do not apply to their niche target group of people. I mean sometimes we do want to get the nitty gritties and try out those things but just get ticked off by the whole process. You listen to the ad and switch off without thinking twice even.

Me thinks, instead of monopolising it to one particular hoarse voice (that always roars through one’s ears each time a concert is being announced), they can try other subtle soft voices even, we shall still listen and even further get the message.
I hope and wait for the day when we shall see chap chap innovation in most of the things that we do. And that includes every industry that is of interst to us. You know?
