The track: Nkwatako – sheebah

One wonders why we can’t get enough of good music these days, well I got an answer to that. It is because of artistes like Sheebah Karungi who are always cooking and serving their audience hit after hit. Just as her former track Ndiwanjawulo, the track Nkwatako is superb.

The high she has right now is evidence of growth in her career and apart from published flaws of her private life, Sheebah has managed to silence her critics musically. If you notice most of these projects are solo, especially after what most confess was her break through track with Pallaso, Go Down Low. Well, she proves she can stand alone.

This rythmn is a lover’s song flavoured with afrobeat and some patois in the lyrics. She tells a story of a makeup between two lovers who seem to have fallen out. In the first verse she tells her lover to sit down and let them talk straight about their issues in the relationship.

On the bridge she tells him to look into her eyes and see the truth as she needs to be touched, taken care of and loved. On to the next verse she confesses not knowing what to do and surrenders to his demands and on the last verse she reminds her lover of how their relationship headed towards tying the knot but now he has swayed off. The story line is simple while the instrumental is danceable.
