Thor: The Dark World opens at Cineplex Cinema tonight, with more adventure as Thor, the Mighty Avenger battles to save earth and all the nine realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself.

This is a fight that continues right from the prequel where Odin, the father of Thor was pitted against the Frost Giants of Jotunheim’ and their leader Laufey. He wanted to prevent them from conquering the nine realms, starting with earth. Anthony Hopkins plays as Odin, father of Thor.

In the sequel Odin and Thor defeat the Frost Giants and seize the source of their power- the Casket of Ancient Winters.

This is all crafted in a movie that brings good cinematography, death -as the good and evil battle, stimulating dialogue and good sound effects that will make your cinema experience worthwhile at the recently acquired 3D cinema at Cineplex.

Thor: The Dark World also brings together a star-studded cast, bringing together Sir Anthony Hopkins and Natalie Portman on the silver screen. The two have been on the casts of movies like The Black Swan. Portman confesses she is still nervous around Hopkins.

Director Alan Taylor is a director who loves adventures seeing he has directed movies like The Emperor’s New Clothes, Kill the Poor, Mad Men, the first season of Game of Thrones and four episodes of the second season.

The Thor Franchise is based on the comic book character of the same name published by Marvel Comics, an American publisher of comic books and related media.
