If you have watched the series titled Gotham, then you will identify with the return of Batman, in his latest movie — The Lego Batman Movie, where he plays his usual hero role. This time though, Gotham, the city where he has been resident is undergoing a number of major changes.
And still similar to the series, Batman has to camouflage as the vigilante in order to save the city from the hostile captivity of the Joker, a role played by Zach Galifianakis, whose role in The Hangover trilogy should have landed him this one too, in which he continues his hilarious excesses.
Funny as he is, Batman will need help from other people in order to bring the Joker down. This is the second movie in the The Lego Batman franchise, and it has enjoyed some downright cool reviews.
“The first thing to say about “The Lego Batman Movie” is that it is kicky, bedazzling, and super fun. It is a kiddie flick that has been made in a sophisticated spirit of lightning-fast, brain-bursting paradox. The movie uses digital animation to create the illusion that it is set in a herky-jerky universe of plastic Lego bricks — but it has such a kaleidoscopic, anything-goes flow that it trumps the imagination of just about any animated feature you could name,” Film Critic Owen Gleiberman says.
The second installation also comes on with a new director. Chris McKay directed this one, and his work on Robot Chicken should give you an idea about what to expect. He is a wizard at toy grandeur. He replaces the duo of Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. Expect some strong graphics and slap-stick humour.
