The last time Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade were acting like children was in Grown-Ups. They had a lot of fun doing things their sons and daughters would be doing on a fun-day out. Their spouses were irked but were dragged along.

Grown-ups 2 picks up the tempo right from where they left in the 2010 prequel. Adam Sandler is funny as ever. He is Lenny Feder, a guy who has just relocated his family back to the small town where he and his friends grew up. Sandler is also one of the writers of the movie. He co-wrote it with Fred Wolf and Tim Herlihy.

In there is another funny man, international celebrated stand-up comedian Chris Rock, as Kurt Mckenzie and Kevin James as Eric Lamonsoff. Putting these together is what makes the movie one to look out for because you will want to find out what it is like for them to take lessons from their little ones. It won’t be easy and that will be funny. That makes the plot notoriously full of surprises. The setting is on the last day of school. One, perhaps uptight, critic has called it a movie of fools, by fools, for fools.

Adam Graham of The Detroit News says Adam Sandler films tend to celebrate the same core ideals: friendship, small town values and women with very large breasts.

“It’s easy to be critical of films which have no aim other than to entertain, but if you’re half way to Sandler’s juvenile, rather sexist mentality you will find more comedy highlights than you’ll be expecting,” Graham Young of Birmingham Mail wrote.

This is another project on which director Dennis Dugan has worked with Sandler. The two have also worked on films like Happy Gilmore, Big Daddy, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, You Don’t Mess with the Zohan, Grown Ups, Just Go with It and Jack and Jill.
