Armored

Just when he needs money the most, Ty Hackett (Columbus Short), an armed service veteran, now an employee of Eagle Shield security, is told of a plan to steal $42m dollars together with his new work mates. Though struggling to make ends meet especially now that he is the legal guardian of younger brother Jimmy (Andre Kinney), Ty still doesn’t want to be part of this evil plan because of an experience from the past that is dangerously similar to the new plot. But when another financial threat sets in, he gives in. That is almost a quarter into the movie and that is when the movie actually starts.

It turns out to be an action film that is not action packed but not in a bad way. The lack of action is mostly because it is not fast paced like most action movies but it is a nice watch none the less. What caught my attention however are the armoured cars they use – as the actors did their thing, I kept on imagining what would happen if our police had such. First, they would come in very handy during riots. They look like they would make it possible to paint the rioters in a mixture of red, black, yellow and even pink (the original colour for the rioters) just so they are not mistaken to be flags.
