Busy Signal, Konshens’ battle coming

konshens

Even before there is any official communication by the Ugandan organisers, our sources within Jamaican musicians Busy Signal and Konshens’ camps have already tipped us off that they are on their way to Uganda. According to our sources, Konshens has already put pen to paper, so has Busy Signal. Sources in Uganda told us that Lolypop Events, the same company that was behind Konshens’ past two visits to Uganda, are behind this one as well.
Konshens has perfomed in Uganda twice; in 2012 at Kyadondo Rugby Grounds and in 2013 at the Lugogo Cricket Oval. However, even after the two performances, the Jamaican dancehall sensation remains a darling and must watch for so many music lovers especially the youth. Songs like Walk and Wine, I am Coming, Couple Up, Jiggle as well as old ones like Gal A Bubble and Stop Sign remain club bangers in many hangouts in our banana republic.
Busy Signal on the other hand, was in Uganda in 2013, but unfortunately his show coincided with the battle between Bebe Cool and the Radio & Weasel duo, hence having to a divided audience. Signal was supposed to return sometime last year, but US based promoter Suudi Lukwago, who was behind the concert alleged that the singer and his team decided to stay away from Africa after suffering an embarrassment in one of the neighbouring states.
Lolypop Events did not comment or deny the allegations, but both Konshens and Busy Signal’s camps confirmed that they will be in Kampala sometime in August.
