When child rapper Patrick Senyonjo alias Fresh Kid was given a scholarship at Kampala Parents School, many doubted whether he would have time for classes.
He was ever busy with his music career and sometimes would skip classes to perform at events. Many on the other hand said tycoon Sudhir Ruparelia’s scholarship was just for his school’s publicity purposes.
Although he joined late, after most of his classmates had started, end of term report indicate that….the Tip Tap singer finished top of his class.
The budding rapper was a few days back recognized for topping his class out of 52 students and was promoted to P3.
Fresh Kid got a total of 388 marks and aggregate four scoring 98 in English, 98 in Literacy 1A, 98 in Literacy 1B and 94 in numbers.
“As I promised yesterday, this is my final report card for the third term. Thanks to God, Mr Rajiv, Rupaleria foundation, Kps staff, my class teachers and all those people who are always there for my studies and music as well. May the almighty God bless you people abundantly,” the seven-year-old posted.
Fresh Kid was given the scholarship by the tycoon’s son Rajiv Ruparelia mid this year and he will be studying for free until he finishes his primary level.
His attention was brought to the Ruparelia group after State Minister for Youth and Children Affairs, Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi tried to block him from singing on grounds that he’s too young for showbiz, arguing that he should have been at school instead.
