Events are taking a new twist that artistes who go on stage to do what revelers are used to end up sending them to their phones. Revelers will go to check their phones, take selfies with friends or resort to sipping their drinks when an artiste on stage delivers the same kind of performance every time he is performing.

Even when he was performing for the first to time in Uganda, Nigerian RnB singer knew how to attack the Ugandan audience. Nonso Amadi during the fourth edition of Shorts Na Lessu, an outdoor event that happened at Dungu Forest in Munyonyo last Saturday surely wowed the crowd with his perfomance.

Perhaps he had researched before going on stage because while doing his performance, Amadi did a cover of the Late Mowzey Radio’s song ‘Neera’ and it was a way to get Ugandans alert and following his performance.  ‘Neera’ paved way for his songs like ‘Go Outside’, ‘Kwasia’, ‘No Crime’ and ofcourse the title truck Ugandans love to sing along to titled ‘Tonight’.

The event that was sponsored by Ciroc attracted youthful revelers who were dressed in shorts and the ladies wrapping the Lessus around them as it is the dresscode and theme of the event that is also known as ShoNale. Besides Performances from Amadi, local acts included Kohen Jayce of Bantu Vibes, “Lamu” and “The Four Homies”, Lagum, Route 316 Band featuring DJ Sesse, DJ Irakooze and DJ CIZA.
